Pico Envirotec Inc. (PEI) is involved in advanced techniques related to instrumentation used with moving data acquisition platforms. Precise data positioning and time synchronization of data acquisition together with substantially increased sensor resolution and data sampling rates is based on GPS - PPS (Global Positioning Systems and accurate Pulse per Second) timing.
Utilization of high-density electronics, such as large logic arrays and increased calculation capacity of the microprocessors allows building independent and intelligent sensors with simple connection to the data acquisition unit controlled by the GPS. Scale of this technology (size of instrumentation and its performance) can be easily adjusted to the application (hand held, vehicle-borne, air-borne) needs. Precise GPS time synchronization and standardization of data formats for all instrumentation allows for simple base station and vehicle mounted (where needed) data merge. PEI had initiated design of new (intelligent) instrumentation in 1998 with a substantial success in producing excellent data quality and system's reliability.
Personnel working in PEI are highly educated, skilled with vast experience in geophysical and environmental fields as well as system installations and operation support. PEI will deliver complete turnkey systems installed in aircraft or other vehicles, bench tested systems and instruments and board level instruments to be integrated in third party systems.
