All PEI's Data Acquisition systems are able to display a geographical information (map, aerial photo) overlain with the navigation information. Complete operator/pilot navigation guidance system is included in the Data acquisition. Our systems also can be extended with third party instruments on customer demand.
Reliable, versatile but flexible data recording structure had been developed to allow only one set of field QC and data format conversion programs support all PEI instruments.
Common philosophy and similar controls of different Data systems had been devised in order to reduce the learning time of the operator when switching instruments (airborne, truck-borne or portable).
Common survey preparation and geographical image calibration, as well as post data collection trace visualization support software is included with each Data acquisition system.
The data systems are targeted at four distinct acquisition groups:
AGIS (Airborne Geophysical Information System): A lightweight robust real time data acquisition and navigation system integrated into a single unit that can be easily installed in a wide variety of mobile platforms without need for a permanent installation in the carrying vehicle.
IRIS (Integrated Radiation Information System): A real time data acquisition and navigation system is advanced, software driven instrumentation specifically designed for mobile applications. It is equipped with precise Satellite navigation, includes real-time displayed vehicle path underlain with an image (geographical map) of the area, and provides reliable data acquisition and radiation information in conjunction with the GRS-10 Gamma Spectrometer.
AMIS (Archeological Magnetic Information System): Used for archeological magnetic exploration the real time data acquisition system allows the user to view signals from individual sensors and use the navigation control to follow a user selected / designed survey path. The unit is mounted in a rugged, water resistant housing, and consists of magnetometer processor, color display, mini keyboard, power supply, signal de-coupler and signal measuring module capable of servicing up to four independent magnetometer sensors, and an internal GPS receiver. The GPS receiver is designed to be removable from the main console and remotely mounted to provide optimum view of the sky for satellite reception.
PGIS (Portable Geophysical Information System): Based on hand held computer a real time data acquisition and navigation system specifically designed for ground on foot or mobile geophysical or environmental survey work. Configurations with portable gamma spectrometer (GRS-2) and magnetometer (MMS-4) are supported.
