Magnetometer

HIGH SENSE
MULTISENSOR MAGNETOMETER
PROCESSOR MMS-4The High Sense Mag (MMS-4) is an intelligent high sensitivity and high resolution magnetometer processor able to process signals from multiple (4) continuously measuring magnetometer sensors. Provision for real time and / or post mission magnetic compensation of airframe motion is optionally available.

The High Sense Mag was designed as a key component of the PEI Airborne Geophysical Information System (AGIS). It is also used in Portable/ Base Station magnetic system (PGIS-HSMag, PGIS-HSMag/Base Station) and can be used with any data system capable of receiving RS-232 serial data. The processor contains synchronization input from GPS 1PPS (pulse per second), to assure precise signal sampling without quantizing errors.

The MMS-4 is a high resolution, high sampling rate magnetometer processor unit based on many years of research and experience. It is implemented in several formats including PC-104 and contains up to four continuous frequency processing input modules with signal decouplers and power control circuitry. The MMS-4 processor can be supplied in board level.

Magnetic Compensation

Real time or post mission compensation is optionally available with the MMS-4 processor. Compensation is achieved by combining the frequency measurement from any continuous reading sensor (Cs, K, He) with the measurements of analog outputs of a tri-axial fluxgate magnetometer. Proprietary algorithms combines these measurements and eliminates most of the influence caused by airframe movement through the magnetic field - pitch, roll, yaw and aircraft heading.
