PEIMagTest program is designed for magnetometer processor (MMS4) testing. Raw, compensated (if present) and analog magnetometer data are displayed on separate pages. The first reading value and the graph scale is displayed for each magnetometer channel. First and fourth digital derivative functions are available for each magnetometer sensor and are displayed in different colours. The gradient function can be calculated for any two magnetometer sensors.
The 'Filter' command allows the user to change the magnetometer sampling rate. All magnetometer information such as status, signal level, filter, sampling rate and compensation type is displayed.
An option to write all magnetometer output into standard PEI binary data file is provided. User comments regarding the recorded data can be added into the file header. Recorded information such as data file name and number of recorded seconds are displayed during recording. This file can be viewed with PEIView program.
